President Bob Matson KA4VIV called the meeting to order at 9:20 am. Members recited the pledge of allegiance to the flag, and all were welcomed and introduced to our guests.
The library gazebo activity for the homeschool children was a huge success, with about 40 attending. Parents and children enjoyed seeing various radios, and listening to members discussing ham radio. EMCOMM 1 was available for tours, and many children used the 2M radio for short local QSO's. Several parents stated that they too wanted to become licensed. The first class will be held on September 6 at the library.
A suggestion to hold VE classes more often was introduced and discussed.
John W8JW, and Joe, WB2QAV, discussed Field Day plans, and at present, they are tenuous due to the local fires, but the EOC is still considered as the primary venue. Plans were discussed to inventory and store club FD equipment at the EOC for easier and secure access.
A motion to adjourn was made and seconded at 11:45
