The regular monthly meeting was held at the Palm Coast Sleep Inn hotel meeting room. This was the first meeting here, and it went very well. The Sleep Inn has a very nice meeting room with ample amenities.
The meeting was called to order at 0915, and Frank Haas, KB4T was introduced. Frank is the powerline interference troubleshooter for FPL. Frank brought along several pieces of EMI gear, and delivered a presentation on it's proper use, and the causes and cures of EMI problems. He stressed that EMI problems are curable, but take time....patience is good.
He noted that a simple AM radio may be the homeowners first method of detecting the source of the problems, but the cure could be difficult, and should always be left to the power company to solve.
The first cadets class was discussed and plans made for the next class at the library.
